The Knights of Momus Light Up Galveston with "The Emerald City Mardi Gras in Oz" Grand Night Parade

The magic of Oz came to life on the streets of Galveston as the Knights of Momus presented their 2025 Grand Night Parade, "The Emerald City Mardi Gras in Oz."

The night was a stunning spectacle of lights, costumes, and music, drawing a massive crowd to witness one of the most anticipated events of the Mardi Gras season.

A Journey of Wonder and Whimsy

On March 1, 2025, the parade kicked off its journey from 22nd and P, making its way through the historic streets and along the Seawall before concluding at 26th and Santa Fe Place. The procession was a breathtaking display of artistry, with magnificent floats designed to transport spectators directly into the whimsical world of Oz. From the yellow brick road to the sparkling Emerald City, each float told a part of the classic story, brought to life by the energy of the float riders.

The parade was a true testament to the dedication of the Knights of Momus members. Participants, dressed in formal or float-themed attire, threw beads and trinkets to the cheering crowds, creating a festive atmosphere that could be felt throughout the city. The camaraderie and spirit of the Krewe were on full display, making the event a memorable experience for everyone involved.
