Bill and Libbie's Remarkable Journey
Bill and Libbie Ansell, both lifelong residents of Galveston Island, have been integral to the vibrant tapestry of Mardi Gras Galveston since its revival. Their dedication and passion for our beloved Krewe are truly commendable.
Bill's journey began with assisting in coordinating the Knights of Momus Grand Night Parade, eventually becoming Parade Marshal in the early '90s. His commitment extended to serving as President during the proclamation of "Mexico Magnifico!" in 1996 – 1997.
Libbie, a Queen of the Knights of Momus in 1987, contributed significantly to the Ball as the Ball Chairman in 2000. She also played a vital role as Mistress of the Robes in 2005. Libbie has been a dedicated member of the Royalty Committee for over 20 years.
Together, Bill and Libbie have left an indelible mark on the history of Mardi Gras Galveston. Bill reigned as King Frivolous C in 2015, marking the 100th King of the Krewe of Momus during the spectacular theme, "Knights in Old Shanghai."
A Celebration of Commitment
Aside from their Mardi Gras endeavors, Bill is a partner at the esteemed accounting firm Ham, Langston and Brezina, LLP, while Libbie served as president of the Jr. League of Galveston County in 2006-2007.
