Knights of Momus members enjoy 'Wickedly Enchanting Evening'

Updated: Jun 2

The Knights of Momus Frivolous Party was held on Oct. 24 at The Pelican Club at Gaido’s on the seawall in Galveston.

Momus members from Houston and Galveston gathered for the occasion. The theme was a “Wickedly Enchanting Evening.” The nights co-chairs were Frances and Tony Buzbee, and Sarah and Michael Piel.

Once the guests were signed in, the next stop was receiving the coveted Knights of Momus membership medallion. Momus members wear the medal to each Momus event they attend. Guests dined on a variety of delicious entrees while enjoying a bevy of wine and spirits.

The Knights of Momus is the oldest krewe supporting the social and civic efforts of Galveston’s historic Mardi Gras. In 1867, the citizens of Galveston proclaimed the island’s first Mardi Gras celebration.
